The company is family owned, and run by 3rd generation members, Mr. Martin Steenkamp (Managing Director) and Mr. Barry Steenkamp (Director).

Ginger Brown manufactures a complete range of chillers for all applications, e.g., spectrometers, electron microscopes, industrial x-ray machines, molding machines, MRI’s, CAT scanners, Linacs, beverage industry, mining, bulk drinking water coolers, bakery chillers and recently, for the cooling of locomotive industry.
Our water chillers are designed to operate in the rigorous conditions of not only South Africa, but also Africa and around the world. Water chillers are manufactured locally, sourcing as many components as possible etc., from our local market. We support the ‘proudly South African’ campaign. Our locally manufactured chillers provide us an edge regarding tight deadlines for delivery.
We can customize a water chiller / cooling system to suit your requirements with competitive delivery / manufacturing times. Each chiller manufactured undergoes a simulated load test in our workshop based on customer’s parameters, as well as a stringent final QA process.
We also provide turnkey solutions relating to civils, plumbing and electrical installations of our water chillers.
Our chillers have been chosen by leading companies in Southern / Central Africa, Australia, America, United Kingdom, Turkey, Russia, Mauritius, and Madagascar.
Ginger Brown (Pty) Ltd has an efficient and dependable after sales department, which manages service, repairs and the supply of spare parts, as well as a network of preferred agents in most major cities in South Africa. Our network of preferred agents can also be found in most Southern / Central African countries, Madagascar, and Mauritius. We carry an extensive stock holding of spares to support equipment.
